A Magical Night at Buckhead: Music, Art & Coffee Of Course

Something truly special happened on Saturday night, July 26th, at our Dancing Goats Buckhead café.A focused DJ with a bun and glasses is seen from the chest up, actively mixing music on a Rane mixing console. She has a tattoo on her right arm and is wearing an orange t-shirt. A cup with a drink and straw sits on the table next to the console. All photos credited to @thecorkbros

We were honored to welcome the talented Jay Shalé and The Cork Bros (@jay_shale & @thecorkbros) as they spun records & filmed a music video and docu-series in our space. The evening marked the beginning of a new multi-venue series we’ll be hosting—designed to highlight Atlanta’s rich creative community across music, photography, videography, and, of course, thoughtful coffee culture.

From an intimate live set centered on themes of love, to a casual sing-along and conversations between friends, it was a night that reminded us how art and coffee can bring people together in meaningful ways.A group of people are laughing and having fun at a social event. In the foreground, a woman with braided hair and a gold headpiece is laughing and holding her arm out. Another woman behind her is also laughing and pointing. Someone in the background is holding a phone up to take a picture.

Guests enjoyed:

  • Dirty Iced Chai (Jay’s signature drink we developed for her using our Kaldi's Cold Brew Concentrate, Firepot Organic Masala Chai, a touch of Vanilla Monin Syrup and oat milk)

  • Iced Vanilla Oat Milk Lattes (classic and oh so satisfying)

  • Iced Oat Milk Matcha Latte ( featuring Firepot Tea's slightly sweetened Amai Matcha)

  • An engaging Q&A with Jay Shalé after her set, offering insight into her creative process and artistic journey
It was a beautiful intersection of music, community, and shared experiences.

Interested in attending future evenings like this?

Stay posted and you can DM our Instagram account for a special invitation to one of the upcoming gatherings—the next tentative date is August 30th. For now, these events remain invite-only as we carefully refine the experience, but soon we’ll be welcoming larger audiences and creating memorable celebrations. We envision evenings where multiple artists rotate through our Roastery, guests engage in demonstrations and clinics, learn how to pull espresso shots under expert guidance, and enjoy the seamless fusion of DJing and coffee craft.

There’s something special about a summer evening filled with good conversation, emerging local talent, and thoughtfully crafted drinks. Jay Shalé and The Cork Bros brought creativity and presence into our café—and we were proud to provide the space where it all came together. From warm lighting, positive happy people, to carefully brewed drinks, this gathering reflected what Dancing Goats is all about: creating space for people to connect through what matters most. More excellent coffee. More artistic expression. More conversation.

Stay tuned.
