Learn More About This Coffee

This Kenyan coffee is produced by the Kamacharia Farmers Cooperative Society(FCS). The Kamacharia FCS owns the Riakiberu washing station which services roughly 700 producing members, each with very small land holdings averaging less than a half-acre. The area is due north of Nairobi in Murang’a county, an area known for rich and fertile volcanic soils. The Kamacharia FCS provides financing and technical assistance for its members, which is often used for fertilizer and other non-coffee items like school costs for kids.
This is a fully washed coffee. It is sun-dried on raised beds and is once again scrupulously sorted. It has an AB designation, meaning the bean size is screened up to 18. This is a smaller bean, however very big on flavor.
