The Skerton Plus is also one of the fastest hand grinders available, thanks to its oversized set of conical cearmic burrs. Speaking of the Skerton Plus' burrs, they also maintain their edges longer than steel, and the Skerton Plus features a burr stabilizing plate which secures the center shaft, preventing burr wobble and enabling the Skerton Plus achieve a more consistent grind.
