ROASTER'S NOTES:
This Kenyan coffee is produced by the Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society(FCS). The Ngariama FCS has roughly 1500 producing members, each with very small land holdings averaging less than a half-acre. The coffee is grown on the flanks of Mount Kenya where young nutrient rich soils produce outstanding coffees. “Kamwangi” refers to the washing station or “factory” where ripe cherries are delivered and processed. Kamwangi is one of three different washing stations that service the producers of the Ngariama FCS.
This is a fully washed coffee. It is sun-dried on raised beds and is once again scrupulously sorted. It has an AA designation, meaning the bean size is screened at 18 and larger.
