Dos Socios is a complex and delightful offering from the highlands of Huehuetenango.
We find up front flavors of caramel and almond with a lingering fruity sweetness reminiscent of a fine red wine. The coffee continues to transform throughout the temperature range, evoking rays of sunshine and tropical aromatic breezes.
INGREDIENTS: 100% Arabica Coffee Beans
ROASTER'S NOTES:
Finca Dos Socios is located in the La Libertad area of the Huehuetenango region. The farm is owned by Concepcion Villatoro Matias. Dos Socios translates as “the two associates.” Don Concepcion purchased the farm in 1990 and has been working it ever since with his second associate, God.
The farm is planted in both Bourbon and Caturra varieties; Caturra being a dwarf or shorter-growing sub-variety of the classic Bourbon. The coffee is fully washed, meticulously sorted, and prepared.

CUP CHARACTERISTICS:
Coffees from Huehuetenango are known for having a distinctly fruitier cup profile than other coffee-producing regions in Guatemala. This offering is no exception. In the cup, we find complexity and balance with the upfront flavors of caramel and almond. It has a lingering red grape quality and fruitier finish that we liken to a fine red wine.
ORIGIN:
RECOMMENDED BREW METHODS:
- 17g of water / 1g of coffee (adj. to desired brew strength)
