Our Certified Organic coffees have been farmed without the use of pesticides or other synthetic inputs. As members of the Northwest Shade Coffee Campaign, we are committed to purchasing coffees from farms where rustic shade protects the coffee and provides a home to migratory birds. Honoring Farmers and their Families At Batdorf & Bronson Coffee Roasters, we have found that the best way to ensure our access to fine coffees is to develop direct relationships with farmers and to pay a fair and sustainable price for their coffees. All our Certified Organic coffees carry Fair Trade certification which guarantees farmers a fair price, suitable working conditions, and community development. Moving Toward a Greener Future We have been purchasing 100% of our electricity from renewable resources since 2000. As pioneers in this effort, we have been awarded numerous environmental awards and are members of the EPA's Green Power Leadership Club. Our sustainable business practices also include using solar energy at our Olympia roastery, recycling and composting and purchasing eco-friendly service items.
